CEC Meeting Minutes – 2026 Season

Note: All participating countries must be represented by English-speaking delegates. Discussions in other languages are not permitted during the meeting to avoid delays and ensure smooth proceedings. This requirement aligns with international standards.

1. CEC Format Review
a) Indoor CEC
- There is increasing interest in launching an indoor CEC format.
- A maximum of three indoor legs per year will be allowed to start with.
- Format options:
- Elimination rounds
- Two rounds of 30 arrows (60 total), depending on venue capacity
- Entry fees:
- €35 per leg
- €40 for finals
- +€10 if prize money is offered
- Decision: Indoor CEC rules and format must
be finalized before launch.
- First season: Autumn 2026 to Spring 2027
- Proposals to be submitted by 1 June 2026 by Slovenia, Slovakia, and Serbia
- Vote: Approved unanimously
b) Outdoor CEC
No changes proposed to the format.
- Entry fees:
- €35 per leg
- €40 for finals
- +€10 if prize money is offered
- Decision: Format remains unchanged; fee
increase accepted.
- Vote: Approved unanimously
2. Introduction of 50+ Age Category
a) Rationale
- The CEC aims to bridge national and international competition levels and include underrepresented age groups.
- The 50+ category is currently underserved at the international level.
- Proposal: Introduce a 50+ category without
elimination rounds.
- Vote: Approved unanimously
b) Elimination Format (General Simplification)
- If fewer than 8 archers:
- Top 4 advance; positions 5–7 eliminated
- If fewer than 16 archers:
- Top 8 advance; positions 9–15 eliminated
- If fewer than 32 archers:
- Top 16 advance; positions 17–31 eliminated
- Clarification:
- If the number of byes exceeds the number of matches, elimination starts from the lower bracket size.
- 1–3 archers: No elimination
- Vote: Approved unanimously according to the clarification.
3. Aggregate Results Management
a) Standardization of Results
- Mandatory use of IANSEO format
- Language: English only
- Uniform abbreviations required
b) Standardized Registration Format
All registrations must include:
- Family name, Given name
- Bow type
- Age group (Adult, U21, U18)
- Date of birth
- Gender
- Country (not club)
No missing or extra data will be accepted. System updates to support this format may incur a €20 implementation fee.
c) Additional Proposals
- Archer ID system: 3-letter country code + national association number
- Age group lock: First competition of the year determines age group for the entire season
- Responsible: Hungary responsible to develop.
